Cheap Halloween Costume Ideas

Purchase of Halloween costumes is the order of the day and in most cases they are not cheap. People spend money of items that can be made at home. The two main costumes that can be made at home include:
Skeleton
Every Halloween party needs to have a skeleton costume. It can be made of a black fret or a black turtle neck top and pants. A piece of chalk, white fabric paint which glows in the dark or is UV reactive and an image of a skeleton.
A sweat suit can be outlined with the skeleton image next to it and using chalk, sketch a plain skeleton on the front, reverse, legs and arms of the suit. The chalk is washable just in case one makes a mistake when drawing. Block chalk lines with the fabric paint and allow it to dry thoroughly. You can now wash the suit to remove the chalk and it is ready to wear.
Mummy
This costume is easier to make than the skeleton one. You should buy some cheap firm fabric that is in white or cream color. The fabric should then be cut into long strips. To make this costume, help is needed to drape the fabric. You should start with the arms, legs and then wrap the body. Safety pins are used to secure it and prevent it from falling off. One can add dirt to the costume to make it look older. One can also purchase stocking stuffers. Some of the stuffers include:
• Art and Craft supplies – These are likely to be used again in future. Kids like to create art materials to make stuffers. Coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, markers and paints can be used long after the events are over.
• School supplies – This stuff can be bought and used in the future. One can buy the supplies they need and filling up the stocking a little more.
• Batteries – A battery should be disconnected into stocking stuffers as an alternative to winding them. One will not need to buy more for the toys and can use those in the stuffing.
• Camera – During the Christmas holidays, one may not have enough time to take photographs. Children can do this for you. They have lots of fun taking the photographs from their own perspective and using this, they add to their photo album.
When buying the costumes, one should consider buying those that can be used more than once. This helps in saving money.
